In the presence of the President of the University of Zakho, Dr. Diyar A. Saeed, the MoU was signed on June 1, 2026, as part of the university’s ongoing efforts to expand scientific partnerships and enhance students’ practical and professional competencies.
The agreement aims to promote joint cooperation in academic and professional fields, particularly through the integration of modern technologies and advanced accounting systems into educational programs. The initiative seeks to equip students with the skills required by the labor market and improve their future employment opportunities.
Key provisions of the agreement include:
- Provision of the “Daftra” Accounting System: FinAce Center will provide the well-known “Daftra” accounting software to the laboratories of the College of Administration and Economics, enabling students to gain hands-on experience with professional accounting applications.
- Employment Opportunities for Graduates: Dr. Ismail F. Musa, Director of FinAce Center, stated that the center will facilitate employment opportunities for graduates of the Accounting Department, particularly those who successfully complete training courses and certification programs related to the “Daftra” system.
During the signing ceremony, the President of the University of Zakho emphasized the importance of strengthening students’ practical capabilities, noting that such collaborations play a crucial role in preparing qualified graduates who can successfully compete in the labor market.
The “Daftra” system, developed by Daftra for Technology and Accounting and Administrative Software, is considered one of the leading financial management platforms. It incorporates international accounting standards and is widely used by companies and organizations across various sectors.
The partnership reflects the University of Zakho’s commitment to bridging the gap between academic learning and professional practice.
